About The Employer We are seeking a kind, patient, and reliable part-time carer to support an elderly female with dementia , living at home with her family. The individual is loving and placid. She responds well to simple, general instructions within the confines of her dementia diagnoses. The role is primarily focused on companionship and emotional reassurance, particularly to help manage dementia-related anxiety of being left alone at home, when family members are out. The ideal candidate needs to be able to communicate in Punjabi. Employer Disability and Health Conditions

About The Role Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

Engage with individual in different ways. (colouring , taking for a walk, watching TV) The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times. Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered). Transport Requirement Required Skills Car driver preferred but not essential.

• Communicate concerns clearly and promptly to family
• Good time management skills.
