We're recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Hinckley that is looking to strengthen its finance team with a proactive and customer-focused Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive environment where your contribution is recognised, and no two days are the same.

The Role
As Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring payments are collected efficiently. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve queries quickly and keep customer accounts up to date.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts and collecting outstanding debt
- Speaking with customers to resolve payment and account queries
- Processing debit and credit card payments
- Updating customer records and maintaining accurate account notes
- Working with internal teams to investigate and resolve account issues
- Preparing account histories for escalated cases where required
- Processing account adjustments and maintaining accurate records
- Meeting collection, outbound call and Direct Debit targets
About You
You'll already have experience within credit control or collections and be confident communicating with customers over the phone. You'll be organised, resilient and able to balance excellent customer service with achieving collection targets.
We're looking for someone with:
- At least two years' experience in Credit Control or Collections
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- A positive attitude and a team player mindset
