Role Description This is a full-time, Graduate / Intermediate Structural Engineer role based in the Midlands. The role involves assisting in the analysis and design of structural elements for buildings and infrastructure, preparing engineering calculations, and contributing to technical reports. The engineer will produce and update drawings and models using CAD tools, coordinate with senior engineers and other disciplines, and support the review of designs for safety, serviceability, and constructability. Day-to-day tasks also include attending project meetings, responding to design queries, and supporting site inspections or surveys as needed to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Ability to perform Structural Analysis and engineering Calculations to support safe and efficient designs.
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD for preparing and modifying engineering drawings and models.
- Working towards or have attained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Progress toward professional registration (e.g., chartership) is an asset.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical information clearly.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-based environment.
