Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management - Transport Company£120,000-£140,000 + bonus (up to 20%) + private medical + good pensionEast Midlands; 2-3 days/week in the officeAudit & Risk Recruitment are delighted to have been exclusively retained by a company who play a critical role in the UK transportation sector to recruit for a Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Internal Audit & Risk professional to take on their next leadership role.

Reporting into the Chief Finance Officer and Chair of the Audit Committee, you will have full ownership of the Internal Audit plan, Enterprise Risk Management activities, Corporate Governance and Group Insurance. With the support of a direct report and an existing co-source partner, you will develop then deliver a risk-based Internal Audit plan covering Financial, Operational, Regulatory and Project reviews as well as developing & maintaining Internal Audit methodology, working collaboratively with the business to promote a risk-aware culture, maintaining strong relationships with C-Suite and Senior Leadership stakeholders, and regularly reporting to Executive & Non-Executive management. You will also have ownership of the Enterprise Risk Management process which includes maintaining the risk registers, strategic risk identification and providing management with periodic risk updates.

You will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIA) with a strong background in both Internal Audit and Risk Management from a commercial business. Prior experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice firm is preferential but not essential. You must have a calm, collaborative approach and be confident when presenting to Executive and Non-Executive stakeholders. Full eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship is essential. You must be willing and able to commute into the Derby office up to 3 days/week.

The salary package is up to £140,000 + bonus (up to 20%) + private medical + pension (1.5x).
