UC & Collaboration Engineer - WebEx, Collab, Voice, Video
Permanent | £60,000 – £75,000 + benefits
Location | Hybrid UK, Manchester, London, South East
Job Summary
A leading Cisco and Microsoft partner is looking for an experienced UC & Collaboration Engineer to join their growing engineering team on a permanent basis. This is a genuinely hands-on role split across project delivery and support, where you'll design, implement and support Cisco collaboration solutions — including CUCM and Webex — for mid and large enterprise clients across a range of sectors.
You'll be joining at a point of real growth for the business, with a strong pipeline of collaboration projects ahead and clear investment in developing their engineers. If you're a Cisco UC specialist looking to step out of contract work or move into an environment with more variety and progression, this one's worth a conversation.
The Company
Our client is a fast-growing, industry-leading managed service provider delivering into mid and large enterprise clients. As an established Cisco and Microsoft partner, they work with some of the latest collaboration and unified communications technologies on the market, and their project work spans everything from greenfield deployments to complex migrations across multi-site enterprise estates.
What sets them apart is their approach to their people. Training and development isn't a throwaway line here — engineers are actively supported through certifications and given exposure across multiple technical verticals, rather than being pigeonholed into one product set. The team culture is collaborative, delivery-focused and low on corporate red tape.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and implement Cisco voice and collaboration solutions across mid and large enterprise environments
- Deliver enterprise Cisco IPT and Webex deployments end to end — from initial planning and design through to implementation and handover
- Lead on project delivery across complex, multi-site enterprise collaboration environments
- Provide escalation-level support and troubleshooting across existing client UC estates
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including designs and as-builts
- Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, building trusted relationships along the way
- Mentor and support junior engineers as the team continues to grow
Your Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' hands-on experience working with Cisco Unified Communications
- Strong experience with Cisco Collaboration products, including CUCM (call routing, dial plans, device provisioning and integrations)
- Experience with Webex — Calling, Meetings or hybrid deployments — is highly desirable
- Exposure to designing and implementing technologies such as Unity Connection, Expressway or CUBE would be a real advantage
- CCNP Collaboration certification is ideal, although not essential — attitude and hands-on ability matter more
- Proven experience across enterprise UC environments
- Confident liaising directly with clients, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving MSP environment
Company Benefits
- Salary of £60,000 – £75,000, dependent on experience
- Fully funded training, certifications and clear technical development pathways
- Exposure to the latest Cisco and Microsoft collaboration technologies
- Genuine variety of project work across mid and large enterprise clients
- Company pension scheme
- Hybrid working arrangements
