Finance Assistant

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Location: Livingston

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you looking to kickstart or further your career in finance? We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. If you have experience with sales ledger, purchase ledger, and banking, and you're eager to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

· Sales Ledger: Managing invoicing and credit control, ensuring timely payments from customers, and maintaining accurate records.

· Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and handling supplier queries.

· Banking: Assisting with bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded, and liaising with the bank for any discrepancies.

Skills & Experience Required:

· Experience in sales ledger, purchase ledger, and banking processes.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Good knowledge of accounting software.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage workloads efficiently.

Desirable but not essential:

· Previous experience in a similar finance role.

· AAT qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification.
