Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Fast Growing Business/ Excellent Benefits/ Free Onsite Parking/ Sage X3/ Multinational Ledger

Forge Talent are supporting a highly successful yet continually growing business with a requirement in their Purchase Ledger Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking to utilise their skillset in an autonomous role.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Receiving, scanning, coding, and entering a high volume of vendor invoices into the accounting system.
  • Payment Runs: Running weekly and bi-weekly BACS payment cycles, Process cheque payments as required.
  • Verification & Matching: Matching invoices to purchase orders (POs) and receiving documents (three-way matching) to ensure accuracy.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, investigating discrepancies, and chasing copy invoices as required.
  • Supplier Management: Acting as the main point of contact for vendor enquiries regarding payment statuses.
  • Expense Management: Processing employee credit card expenses and expense reports.
  • Query Resolution: Proactively responding to queries to reach a prompt resolution. Liaise with the wider business as required.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast paced and high-volume Purchase Ledger position with exposure to both processing and payment runs.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise business critical tasks.
  • Excellent Excel and computerised systems skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and part of a wider finance team.
  • This is an office-based roe and applicants must be able to travel to Stockport.
