Lickd is the mainstream music licensing platform built for social content creators. We give creators access to over 1.4 million claims-managed tracks from the world’s biggest labels so their videos can sound the way they deserve to, without the fear of copyright strikes or lost revenue.
The Role
This is a rare role: genuine ownership of creator acquisition in a company where the product and the audience are aligned. Lickd’s value proposition is music - an area creators truly care about - and your job is to build the community and partnership engine that turns that alignment into measurable subscriber growth.
You’ll own creator outreach, referral and advocacy programmes, and community across Discord, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. You’ll work with design support and a third-party agency, with a paid media budget and a clear attribution framework. This is not a strategy role - it’s a doing role, with direct line of sight from your activity to the number that matters: new subscribers every week.
What you’ll own
- Creator outreach and partnership development - identifying, approaching, and activating creators whose audiences overlap with Lickd’s target market
- Referral and advocacy programmes - building and managing a network of creators who actively refer peers to Lickd
- Community management - owning the Lickd Discord server and driving engagement across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram
- Acquisition reporting - weekly attribution reporting on community and partnership-driven subscriber growth
- Agency and design briefing - directing third-party creative and agency resource to produce creator content, partnership assets, and paid social
- Social listening and competitor intelligence - using tools to surface signals, objections, and opportunities from the creator community
The successful Marketing Manager will have
- 4-6+ years in creator marketing, community management, influencer partnerships, or creator relations - ideally in YouTube, music, or SaaS/creator-tool environments
- Fluency in creator culture - you understand social channel growth (especially YouTube), monetisation, algorithmic dynamics, and why copyright anxiety is a real and persistent pain for creators
- Commercial accountability - you can connect community activity and soft metrics to hard outcomes. Comfortable owning a subscriber number, not just a content calendar
- Hands-on community experience - you’ve built or managed online communities and know the difference between an engaged community and an active one
- Briefing and resource management - experience directing agency or design resource to a specific brief and output, not just describing what you want
- Comfort with data - you know what a leading indicator is, you know what a vanity metric is, and you know which one to put in a weekly report
Salary: £competitive to attract the best talent
Hybrid: 2 days in Soho HQ, Old Compton Street
