Sales Manager

Are you the "go to person" in sales when your boss is away? Or a team leader looking for that next step up.

When a new person is bought into the business it's you that does the induction and training, it's you that they are sat next to for shadowing and learning the ropes.

Your background is in Engineering or Manufacturing.

You've been thinking about taking the plunge into management for a while, maybe now is the time? This could be the open door you have been seeking out!

• As Sales Manager you will be managing a team of 4 sales executives, they work well together, they know the business.
• You will be analytical in your approach, someone who is comfortable with spreadsheets, you can pull data together for your reports and sales meetings.
• You will have great business acumen and know how to win a customer over, here you will have your own accounts and still be very much front facing when it comes to sales.
• This is a fast paced, high-energy department, you will need to manage that momentum and shield your team from distractions.
• As Sales Manager you see your role as nurturing and developing talent... but you also love to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Your approach will be to engage your team members giving them the tools to work collaboratively. Business is expanding currently at 5 million turnover, now your new boss has stepped up to top job he needs you to lead his sales team, and who knows your next title could be "Head of sales". If you speak a 2nd European Language then this is beneficial here, but not a deal breaker.

Although you are managing a team, as Sales manager, you are not desk bound here, and a willingness to travel is essential both in the UK and overseas.

Working hours are 8am-5pm 2pm finish on a Friday, 26 days holidays plus your stats, a salary of up to £55k plus car allowance, healthcare plan, plus uncapped bonus.
